2026 LAKER SUMMER HOCKEY & SPORTS CAMP

The Laker Hockey & Sports Camp will be a great opportunity for youth players born 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to participate in a 4 day long Camp with their favourite local WHL and College players and staff.

This one of a kind experience includes a head shot, special guests, autographs, fun activities and Elite coaching instruction.

WEEK 1, July 20 to July 23, 2026 | WEEK 2, July 27 to July 30, 2026 at Southdale Community Centre,

8:00am to 4:00pm Summer Day Camp, 7:30am early drop off avail and up to 4:30pm late pick up

This Camp will also provide instruction and game play of other sports during the day. Players will have a chance to play a variety of sports.

Along with a Sport session each day, players will experience an Agility, Balance, Coordination workout each day emphasizing foundations for being a young athlete.

As well, our young athletes will be able to participate in a workshop highlighting topics such as equality, sportsmanship, and mental health. Players will get a chance to discuss topics, interact with peers and build skits.

Camp Features

• 8 hours of ice time, combination of development and scrimmage play
• 4 hours of Dry land training, focusing on agility, balance and coordination
• 8 hours of Sport , one hour of skill development and one hour of game play per day
• LAKER Hockey Core Values Workshop
• Goalies will have goalie specific instruction every morning session

The July Laker Summer Hockey & Sports Camps will take place over two separate weeks from

July 20 - July 23, 2026 Age groups MALE 2014- 2019, ALL FEMALE Atom (2016, 2017)

July 27 - July 30, 2025 Age groups MALE 2014-2019, ALL FEMALE Peewee(2014, 2015),

8:00am to 4:00pm Summer Day Camp, 7:30am early drop off avail and up to 4:30pm late pick up

***MALE groups will be organized by age as best as possible. All friend/ sibling requests will be considered. Group organization is at the discretion of the Laker Hockey Staff.

Each morning, groups will be introduced to and experience the sport of choice. Players will learn some fundamentals and play some small area games. In the afternoon, players will use some of the skills developed to scrimmage and play. Fair play and respect for sport and the opponent will be of focus. All equipment will be provided.

Parents will be required to provide running shoes, a change of clothes, a water bottle, and a hat and sunscreen.

Coaches will be available to tie skates as needed to limit people in the dressing room. This is an experience your child does not want to miss out on!

2026 LAKER SUMMER HOCKEY & SPORTS CAMP

The Laker Hockey & Sports Camp will be a great opportunity for youth players born 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to participate in a 4 day long Camp with their favourite local WHL and College players and staff.

This one of a kind experience includes a head shot, special guests, autographs, fun activities and Elite coaching instruction.

WEEK 1, July 20 to July 23, 2026 | WEEK 2, July 27 to July 30, 2026 at Southdale Community Centre,

8:00am to 4:00pm Summer Day Camp, 7:30am early drop off avail and up to 4:30pm late pick up

This Camp will also provide instruction and game play of other sports during the day. Players will have a chance to play a variety of sports.

Along with a Sport session each day, players will experience an Agility, Balance, Coordination workout each day emphasizing foundations for being a young athlete.

As well, our young athletes will be able to participate in a workshop highlighting topics such as equality, sportsmanship, and mental health. Players will get a chance to discuss topics, interact with peers and build skits.

Camp Features

• 8 hours of ice time, combination of development and scrimmage play
• 4 hours of Dry land training, focusing on agility, balance and coordination
• 8 hours of Sport , one hour of skill development and one hour of game play per day

2026 LAKER AA PREP CAMP for PEEWEE's

This camp will offer each player 6 hours of on ice activity.

Limit of 24 skaters per group, 3 Goalies per group

This program will focus on preparing Peewee players for their AA evaluations. Ice sessions will focus on skill development/reinforcement, individual tactics, and team concepts. Ice sessions will also train players position specific. Drills will be provided for Forwards, Defensemen, and Goalies. There is also a Contact and Body Checking component that is introduced and implemented in each age group.

This camp will offer each player 4 hours of on ice activity.

2025 LAKER SUMMER DAY- Season Prep Performance Camp

SOUTHDALE CC, 254 Lakewood Bvld

Age Groups for MALES- 2014,2015,2016,2017

FEMALE PEEWEE(2014,2015), FEMALE ATOM(2016,2017)

Mon to Thurs, 8 hour day program, 8am - 4pm

• 60 minutes of skill development in the morning
• 60 minute scrimmage in the afternoon
• The rest of the daily schedule consists of dry land sessions, sport activities, video room sessions, as well as our own Coach's Corner
• A jersey will be provided.
• Hot Lunch provided everyday

The morning ice sessions in our Performance Camp will have general themes differing everyday.

Day 1 & 2 focus on position specific drills for Defenseman and forwards.

Day 3 focuses on angling and body contact.

Day 4 is our Battle/ Game day . Players are put through different competition drills preparing them for upcoming evaluations as well as a variety of small area games.

Players are provided with a daily HOT lunch

Early drop off 7:30 am and late pick up 4:30 pm times available for these camps
